It’s August, it’s England and of course it’s threatening rain, so what is new? Well Martin and Evelyn provided the answer to that by opening their pond and garden to the Dorset Koi Keepers. Martin joined the DKK on digging the hole as he puts it, that was two years ago and today we were all, as a club to view the finished product for the first time! We were not to be disappointed! Another new garden for the Dorset Koi Keepers to vist, and a pond with a window to the world. On the last day of August the DKK were invited to the garden of Bob and Sandra. The pond in a fairly new pond in a fantastic surrounding complimented by the planting through out. The pond was built by Bob able assisted throughout no doubt by the three dogs! Bob and Sandra had thoughtfully arranged additional entertainment for the DKK visitor of different air displays throughout the afternoon ending in a great display by the Red Arrows. Unfortunately the low cloud base prevented the Red arrows performing the classic ‘Heart’ for us but wow what an honor arranged for us!.

On Sunday 14th September the DKK descended on Joan & Stan. This was an unplanned visit as unforeseen circumstances at the original planned pond visit. We would like to thank them for standing in a short notice. This pond has been visited many times by the DKK (and visiting clubs!). Further details can be seen here...
