As many of you know that Joan and Stan's pond has plenty of interest inside as well as along side the pond, there is always something to look at which makes a visit that more enjoyable.

The pond it’s self is 4000 gallons and approximately 20 x 8 feet in an oval shape with a constant depth of 4 feet and made from a solid fibreglass pre-cast pre-made shape.

Those who don’t know the history: it was carried in to the garden by various friends and club members who placed it snugly into a pre-dug hole where it was plumbed in. The filtration is a traditional settlement tank with brushes followed by spring flow for biological filtering and a UV to keep the dreaded algae at bay. Finally to help it all the pond in covered by a roof to keep us all dry when we visit.
